Akuma

Akuma stands for the Great Devil – highly deserving of that name. This is probably one if not the biggest nemesis in Tekken series. Akuma can also be found as the final boos in the arcade mode.

178 cm tall and weighing at 80 kilograms this half demon uses something similar to “Satsui no Hado” to battle his foes.

Lore: Akuma is the only crossover character in Tekken 7. He is originally from Street Fighter, but appears in Tekken 7. In it, Akuma is seen watching the air raid destroying a city as Heihachi reclaims Mishima Zabiatsu. He is confronted by Jack-6 army and joins forces with Heihachi to defeat them. Akuma explains to Heihachi that he came to kill him and they battle it out and it seems that Akuma wins and kills Heihachi. Akuma moves on to almost defeat Kazuya, but the latter transforms in to a devil and then Heihachi arrives, he faked his loss and death. Kazuya kills Heihachi and is confronted by Akuma once again in the volcanic pit. The ending for this fight is more than a proper Tekken like scenario. Akuma is seen firing a powerful Hadoken which collides with Kazuya’s devil beam and the whole environment gets destroyed and we are left wondering – how did it end? Did Kazuya win? Or maybe Akuma emerged as the victor? Whatever it may be – we hope that the developers have something wonderful for us next. Akuma is a character the fans would like to return.

Fighting: For Street Fighter fans, this is a throwback + a nice nod and a homage to the series. Akuma keeps the basic movements and attacks from the Street Fighter series. Gou Hadoken, Gou Shoryuken and a Tatsumaki Zankuu Kyaku – all energy related movements that make Akuma feel like a true Street Fighter character blending inside of Tekken’s universe. His combat style is an unrecognizable variation of Ansatsuken. His every move intends to kill his opponent and along with “Satsui no Hado” sets himself as an extremely tough challenge. He has a move where he can completely devour an opponent’s soul, it’s called “Shun Goku Satsu”.

Akuma sometimes converts himself in to a beastly creature, known as Oni. When he turns in to Oni – Akuma begins to show even more proficiency as a fighter and becomes this kind of a demi-god that can terrorize cities and kill anyone standing in his way.

Moves

This is a short list of easy to do and extremely effective Akuma moves. Keep in mind, we’re using Xbox controller icons so the ones apparent on your controller maybe aren’t identical visually, but position-wise they are located in the same spots.
